RopingArena.com and Rodeo Software
Privacy Policy
RopingArena.com and Rodeo Software respect the privacy of our users and the
concerns of parents for their children visiting our sites. The interaction and information from our website
is intended for all ages. We promote
clean, fun, family interaction.
The Internet is a vast resource and we encourage you to become actively
involved in your child's online experience and urge you to participate in their
development. In keeping with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
(COPPA) we have created this privacy policy to demonstrate our firm commitment
to our users' privacy and to explain our information gathering and
dissemination practices.
If you are interested in reading more about COPPA you can visit the FTC web
site at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/edcams/kidzprivacy/
Anybody can access RopingArena.com and RodeoSoftware.com. In particular,
children can surf this site, view results, learn how to play the game, without
any personally identifiable information being collected. However, most site
features, especially participating in event competitions, may require that a
person provide personally identifiable information. We do not collect more
personally identifiable information than necessary to participate in any of the
site's activities. The personally
identifiable information which you provide is not available to third parties unless you have indicated that we can share your information.
RopingArena.com and Rodeo Software does not collect more personally
identifiable information from kids under 13 than is necessary for them to
participate in our online activities. We urge parents to instruct their
children never to give out their real names, addresses or phone numbers when
using the Internet.
Children under 13 are required to have their parents create their account which includes submitting their email address.
All users will be required to enter a Screen Name for their account which is
the name shown to other users when denoting winners of competitions. The Screen Name should not include personal
information.
We offer a feedback feature so users can communicate with us via email.
Users are eligible to enter event competitions conducted on RopingArena.com
after they have created an account with the minimum required personal
information including their Screen Name.
Some events are restricted by age to allow fairer competition for
younger kids. No personal information
is visible to others with the exception of the user’s Screen Name.
All events award points to the winners.
Points are used purely for ranking and have no monetary value. Some events award prizes to the winner(s). Should a
user under the age of 13 be selected as the winner of a prize, RopingArena.com will notify
that child via email that he/she has won and request the parent or guardian
contact Rodeo Software so that we may award the prize. Also, if permission is
granted by a parent/guardian, we may post the winner's first name, age, and
home state/province.
Periodically, rankings and winners may be posted in trade magazines. In that case, first name, age, and home
state/province will be posted in the magazines.
If a user requests to receive communications from RopingArena.com and Rodeo
Software (newsletters or company updates, for example) they need to provide a
valid e-mail address. Real names need not be used to request newsletters.
Parents can request to have their child's information deleted and refuse to
permit further collection of information by us. In order to do that, simply
e-mail us at support@ropingarena.com.

its users' privacy. We encourage
parents to be involved with all of their child's online activities.
